GelSpa Exfoliating Jelly Bath

frequently asked questions

How does the Bath Gel work?

The tiny crystals in the powder (Step 1) absorb the water and grow. This creates thousands of gel beads that gently roll over and exfoliate your body, perfectly preparing the skin for tanning. When you’re finished a second powder (Step 2) dissolves the gel beads, turning the bath back to liquid. Some gel beads may still remain

How long does the Gel take to form?

5-6 minutes

How long should I soak in the Gel?

We recommend at least 10 minutes for true relaxation, however as the gel can hold its temperature 3x longer than water (at room temperature 21C ) there’s no limit to the experience.

I have Eczema and/or sensitive skin, can I use the product?

We often hear brilliant stories from customers who have skin issues who find this product to substantially help!
But as with any cosmetic product, if unsure, please test a bit on your skin first.

Do I have to use the activator cream?

Yes, as the tanning agents in the bath can only be fully activated when used with the cream. So, to achieve a full tan, it is highly recommended it is used.

How do I apply the activator cream?

We provide two cream applicators to make applying the cream easy and effective. Firstly, add a small amount of cream to the hand mitt, rub into the skin in even circular motions blending the excess onto hands and feet. The mitt is great for arms, legs, neck and torso. Secondly add a small amount of cream to the end of the applicator stick, apply the cream to the back area in even circular motions. This is great for those hard-to-reach areas.

Can I apply the activator cream to my face?

Yes, apply a pea sized amount to the applicator mitt and gently rub the face in even circular motions.

Which tan is right for me?

We have two shades of tan for you to try! Fair to medium – a lighter sun kissed look, ideal for first timers. Medium to Dark, a deeper and richer tan, great for a true after holiday look.

How do I get a perfect finish on my hands/feet?

When using the tan activator cream, only blend the excess product on to your hands and feet using an outward circular motion, for a more natural finish.

Can I swim after using Tan in The Bath?

We advise allowing 4—12 hours development of your tan before washing or swimming. Once your tan has developed you can swim but sea water and chlorinated pools may result in your tan fading more quickly.

How long will my tan last?

Everyone’s skin naturally exfoliates at a different rate, but your tan will last anything between 4—7 days, with good maintenance this could be considerably longer.

Can I use tan in a bath if I have Eczema?

Yes, our product can be used on skin disorders such as eczema, however we advise a patch test is completed at least 24hrs to the activator cream being applied to check for skin sensitivity. Avoid applying tan to any aggravated or broken skin.

How soon after application can I dress?

We recommend 10-15 minutes, to allow the activator to begin to take effect without disruption

Will the bath/activator cream stain my clothes?

No, as long as you are fully dry and have allowed 10-15 minutes for the activator cream to take effect.
